It is still a major cause of death but early detection as well as personalized treatment would greatly improve survival rates. Discovering and validating molecular biomarkers will be instrumental in this development. Quantifying large amounts of cancer-related protein biomarkers can reveal novel expression patterns leading to better understanding, diagnosis, and disease monitoring for cancer patients.
